TEA TIME

My cup of tea

My cup of tea is a small cozy tea room, perfect for klatch for girls. Having afternoon tea with friends in such a tranquil place is an opportunity to indulge and relax. Quite a few people refer to afternoon tea as ‘High Tea’. In actuality, high tea is a heavy working class meal, while afternoon tea, as known as ‘Low Tea’ is much lighter.

We ordered two afternoon tea sets, which including savories, scones, desserts and tea. Their teas were decent, and they offered a variety of selections. I adored the aroma of floral tea as well as the taste of fruit tea. We tried Lychee Jasmine and Mango Tango, both were refreshing combinations for floral and fruit tea lovers.

The food was presented in two different birdcages. Traditionally, the consuming order of afternoon tea edibles starts with the savories, sandwiches and deviled eggs, followed by scones and sweets. The desserts were a work of art, and the visual presentation was enhanced once they were transferred on to our plates. I loved their tea infused scones, which looked simple yet fluffy and delicious, especially when paired with the whipped butter.  We enjoyed the taste of the food, the exquisite tableware as well as the tea room’s warm and friendly service.
