TRAVEL

Paris

The intended destination of this journey comprises two cities, Paris and London, both of which have been vividly experienced in my dreams.

The summer in Paris is quite similar to North America, with temperatures staying comfortably below 25 degrees. However, it can get a bit colder in the mornings and evenings.

Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is a must-visit landmark in Paris.

During this journey, we hired a photographer to take pictures for us with the Eiffel Tower. It costed 40 euros for 21 shots, and we selected two standout images to share.
In order to ensure the safety of our belongings, personal photo-taking opportunities will be reduced.

Be mindful of pickpockets here, avoid having conversations with strangers!

Louvre Museum

I am not someone who loves exploring museums. The world-renowned painting that captivates me the most is Mona Lisa.

The Arc de Triomphe and The Avenue des Champs-Élysées

The Triumphal Arch of Paris commemorates the victories of the French army and honors those who fought and died for France during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. It is located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Having previously visited The Arc de Triomphe in my dreams, and it influenced my decision to travel to Paris. It feels like a connection from my past life, as I am revisiting these familiar grounds once again in current life.

Capturing a picture here while avoiding the crowd and finding time for posing proves to be quite challenging. It can only be a candid shot.

Opéra Garnier

Opéra Garnier, also known as Palais Garnier, is a stunning opera house in Paris. Its opulent architecture, adorned with intricate details and a grand staircase, showcases the elegance and splendor of the 19th century.

It can be challenging to avoid the crowds with your camera. The entire opera house is filled with people.

Shopping and Food

Lafayette and its surrounding area are our favorite places to shop and dine.

French cuisine is a delightful journey for the taste buds. One of the characteristics of French cuisine is that it is never too salty. The baguette is their staple food, and it is served in almost every restaurant. Parisians typically have a more standard physique, which is likely influenced by their healthy dietary culture.

Here are some restaurants I have tried and found to be quite good.

CAFE DE LA PAIX

We indulged in a light and delightful meal at CAFE PAIX before visiting Opéra Garnier.

Caffe Concerto London

Caffe Concerto London is inside the Louvre Museum.

Au Chien Qui Fume

Parisian restaurants each have their unique charm, and such floral decorations are throughout the city.

La Comedia

This is an Italian eatery located very close to my hotel. It was already past 9 o’clock in the evening when I arrived for dinner. I didn’t even take any pictures of this restaurant. This snapshot is captured from my video.

Hotel and the nearby streets

Hôtel de l’Espérance

The hotel we stayed in is located in the 5th zone of Paris. European hotel rooms are generally small, but the room was very exquisite, with a large French-style floor-to-ceiling window. There is a bus stop right downstairs, and the metro station is about a 3 – minute walk away. Many attractions can be reached within 10 minutes by metro or bus. The security in this area is relatively safe

Unique souvenirs from Paris

Gifts can be purchased at the Louvre Museum, the Opéra Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, and gift shops along the streets.
